Dubai Dubai Dubai

I'm back in Kuwait after a short holiday in Dubai with my wife. Most of our time was spent visiting family and friends but we did manage to squeeze in some 'touristy' activities. Our first stop was the Dolphinarium in the Dubai Creek Park.

The tickets are 120 Dhs a pop and the show lasts about an hour. Good clean fun, especially for the kids.

A short visit to Jumeirah Beach and Madinath Jumeirah to do some shopping. The malls in Dubai are huge and can screw up your sight seeing plans if you spend too much time shopping!

We also visited the Global Village in Dubai since we heard that the stalls there were operating during the holiday season. Its an interesting concept actually, each country has their own compound within the complex, showcasing their respective country's ethnic arts and crafts. Its more of a commercial excercise than cultural but you end up seeing a lot of stuff and might even have some fun in the fairgrounds.
