Why does airline food always suck ? Just coz I'm traveling in economy doesn't mean I have to be served dog food. The rice was dry, the lentils undercooked and the lamb was chewy. The best part of the meal was the yogurt coz it wasn't from the catering company.
Meal featured: Lamb and rice on Oman Air.

I don't really bother about food as such, but one of the things I just can't tolerate is - Plastic cups and plastic fork / knife / spoon.
There are times when we end up for an outdoor get together or BBQ.. and I just can't get myself to grab one of those things.
Plastic plates is as far as I am willing to go.
In an airplane - I just can't understand how the hell can someone actually enjoy their drink in a plastic cup!!
Thankfully I haven't had to bother with that, and hopefully will never have to either.
Travelled in economy once (with my girl friend.. she wouldn't get an upgrade for her ticket) didn't bother to eat or drink anything on that trip.
The thought of Vodka or Rum and Coke in a plastic cup! absolutely revolting.
Hell, I can't even have coffee in those paper cups.

I heard, except for the salads, it seems they cook it days before and adds preservatives. Sm1 who works in the catering told me this!!!!
if your flight is like less than 6 hours, its always best to check in early and eat at the airport and skip the inflight meal. This way you end up eating a burger, and not being punished for flying.
Lord Raj: I dont mind plastic cutlery and cups if the situation allows only that and yeah drinking out of a plastic cup is yucky !
