The baby gets an upgrade !

Nikon has upgraded its smallest DSLR in the range, the D40 now called the D40X.While the old D40 had a 6 MP sensor, the new one has 10 MP !That should make this 'baby' DSLR feel more comfortable among his bigger brothers.Unlike the previous model, you have the option of buying the D40xwithout or without the 18-55mm lens. Once again only AF-S and AF-I lenseshave the automatic focus option.


Also in the news, Nikon announces an afforable 55-200MM F/4-5.6G IF-ED AF-S lens.This lens features Vibration Reduction; Nikon's term for Image StabilizationSales of the D40x should start from April 2007.
