This weekend I decided to try my hand at capturing light streams using long exposures. So armed with my H5 and tripod, I headed out to a pedestrian bridge near the highway. I shot about 20 frames but here are the ones I found most interesting.
Equipment used;
Sony DSC H5
Aluminum Lightweight tripod
and lots of patience !
Tips;
Use the full manual selection marked 'M', that way you have full control over Aperture and Shutter speed. I used tw0 ISO settings; 80 and 100. To get varied results try switching the white balance between Incandescent and Fluorescent or custom white.
I got the best results at F8.0 , 15" and F7.2, 10".

how did you manage to focus on the "red" ?
@rayboy. You mean the tail lights of the cars? Well, I selected "center focus" and locked focus on the middle of the road. Whatever passes thru that section would be in focus.
yeah ... it had more streak of red than the balance of other colors.. i thought you put more focus on red.
